Neil R. Lightfoot

Neil Lightfoot is a professor of New Testament at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. He teaches upper level textual classes and specializes in the gospels. He is a member of South 11th and Willis Church of Christ in Abilene where he has served as an elder and minister.

Lightfoot graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor's degree in 1952. He earned his master's degree from Baylor University in 1955. He received his PhD from Duke University in 1958. He has authored numerous articles and publications.

Lightfoot has three children and several grandchildren. He recently remarried; his new wife's name is Marjorie.
